Fred and Helen Sherrif have lived in the Northern Rivers area for the past 40 years.

Helen, originally from Glen Innes met Fred when he played an exhibition match in Glen Innes with Tony Roche and John newcombe. On meeting Helen, Fred gave up his international tennis career and they moved to Grafton and have raised 6 children together.





Fred's tennis accoldaes includes qualifying for the US Open in 1963 and making it to the final 16 in the 1964 Australian Open, taking 2 sets of the all conquering Rod Laver.

Fred is a colourful local character who has owned a variety of businesses within the Valley and Old Kent Road Apartments is his latest venture that is proving to be a wonderful opportunity to meet interesting guests from all around the country.
